Graeme Hodson-Walker

Graeme is a passionate sustainability change agent, entrepreneur, and educator. His belief is that by empowering people with the best information, stories and tools for action, we will all naturally make choices to become Sustainable For Life.

When not empowering others, Graeme is interested in game-changing innovative ideas and projects. His current pursuits focus on distributed food production. Graeme is a partner in The Farm Down the Road, which is developing the world’s first net-zero carbon, net-zero energy greenhouses. Graeme also manages Canadian distribution of the “Earthbox” container growing system – which allows nearly anyone to grow their own organic vegetables at home. Graeme consults for other ventures as well, such as local start up Patch, and writes the blog SustainableForLife.

In prior years Graeme was a founder and VP Operations of “M13” – a health products company that sought to replace unhealthy beverages with “Functional Juice” – which grew to international distribution through retailers such as Whole Foods Market. Graeme began his career at BC Hydro working on residential energy conservation programs and stakeholder engagement hearings. Graeme holds a BBA (Mktg.) degree from Capilano University.

Graeme finds balance with his lifelong interest in fitness, health and wellness. He holds a blue belt in Hap-Ki-Do, is a certified ski instructor, ski coach, and in-line skate instructor, has taught windsurfing and coached women’s recreational soccer. He has competed in pole vault, badminton, equestrian eventing, and downhill ski racing. These days Graeme finds his center through Anusara Yoga, in the forest on his mountain bike, and on the mountains on his snowboard.

Graeme is amplified to engage with others about how a whole foods, plant-based diet supports both personal and planetary health.
